Travel Grants
The Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society offers Travel Grants to outstanding doctorate graduate students and post-docs to offset travel expenses to the OTS Annual Meeting.
Eligibility:
-
Be a current member of OTS
-
Be a current graduate student or post-doc
-
Be the first author of an abstract to
-
Be presented as a poster or short talk at the annual meeting
-
Submit an abstract of high scientific merit
-
Prior winners may be eligible with demonstrated financial need
Required application materials:
-
Abstract submitted for poster presentation at current year’s Annual Meeting
-
Current CV
-
Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s advisor
Recipients receive:
-
For travel within the same continent = $1,000 USD
-
For travel from outside the continent = $1,500 USD
-
For those with demonstrated financial need, reduced or waived registration fees may be available
How to apply?:

Step 1 – Register for the Annual Meeting

Step 2 – Submit an abstract for either a short talk or poster via the link sent in your annual meeting registration confirmation email

Step 3 – Apply for a Travel Grant via the link sent in your abstract submission confirmation email

How to Submit?:
ALL participants submitting an abstract or applying for a travel grant MUST register to the 2026 Annual Meeting first:

The Abstract submission portal LINK will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

Short Talks

Short Talk Presenters are expected to attend the meeting and make their presentation in-person in Denver
-
Short Talks Abstracts submitters who are NOT selected, may be offered a Poster-Fire Session Presentation. Please click the appropriate option box for this on the online submission form
Poster Presentations
-
Poster Abstract Presenters can opt to present virtual or in-person. Virtual Poster presentations will not be provided with a posterboard onsite in Denver
In-Person Poster Presentations will include:
-
Full size printed poster to be displayed on the poster boards during the 4 days of the Annual Meeting (poster to be provided by the submitters)

PDF poster file display on the virtual platform (poster gallery)

Optional 3 min video presentation to be included on the virtual platform (poster gallery)
Virtual Posters will include:

Poster-Fire Sessions Presentations
When submitting your abstract for a Short Talk and/or Poster Presentation, you can also indicate your preference to be considered for the Poster-Fire Sessions (no second abstract will be requested). The Annual Meeting will have two Poster-Fire Presentation—a dynamic format that includes:

A 3-minute timed presentation (of your abstract)

Up to maximum 3 slides summarizing your research, key findings, or arguments
Simply indicate your preference when submitting your abstract.
Important Notice on Abstract Integrity:
All submitted abstracts must be the original work of the authors. Submissions found to be generated by AI or lacking scientific integrity will be rejected without review and may result in exclusion from future conferences.
